Your way to the Grotthof

The holiday experience begins on the road to us: Here, where the tranquil village of Eggen welcomes you with its striking church tower, here, where you can happily do without a navigation system on the last stretch, as it doesn't work at all on the 1.3 km road from the centre of Eggen to the Grotthof, here, where you can suddenly immerse yourself in the diverse flora and fauna of the forest.

However, the trip should be well planned. And don't forget: if at any point you think you're on the wrong track, you're right ;-)

By car from the A 22 Brennero - Modena motorway:

• Take the Bolzano Nord exit
• Drive towards Bolzano and after 1 km at the roundabout take the third exit into the Eggental SS 24.
• After about 11 km you will reach the hamlet of Birchabruck. There you turn right towards Nova Ponente on the SS 620.
• After 1 km you will reach the hamlet of Stenk.
• There you turn left after the Hotel Mondschein onto the SP 76 towards Eggen.
• After about 2 km you will reach a crossroads where you must turn left onto the SP 23 into the village of Eggen. Good to know: The Grotthof is already signposted there for the first time!
• Drive past the church and take the second driveway to the right at the Villa Gottfried in the direction of Grotthof. Good to know: The Grotthof is also well signposted here!
• Follow the road. After exactly 1.3 km you will reach the Grotthof.

Important information:
It can snow in winter! Therefore you must definitely arrive with winter tires and also expect to have to fit snow chains. But don't worry, we contact our guests before your arrival and if it snows, we will of course pick you up in the village
